Vic: Man dies after collision with truck
MELBOURNE, April 24 AAP - A man died today when the car in which he was a passengersmashed into a truck west of Melbourne.
The collision occurred on Thompson Road, Maude - north-west of Bannockburn - at about2.30pm (AEST).
Police spokeswoman Cathy Heycock said the drivers of both vehicles were taken to anearby hospital with serious injuries.
Ms Heycock said another female passenger was trapped in the car for a short time beforebeing airlifted to a Melbourne hospital.
A fourth passenger in the car was uninjured.
The details of the dead man have not been released.
Today's fatality takes the Victorian road toll to 121, compared with 131 at the sametime last year.
